What's New

With the completion of the Wounded Warrior Retreat cabin, the next phase is to construct a handicap accessible boat dock at East Beach of Lake Tholocco, Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Thanks to all the support of the Enterprise and Fort Rucker communities, the fully ADA-compliant cabin at Lake Tholocco is complete.

Click here to see video of the beginning of this amazing project.

The Wounded Warrior Retreat by the Lake was officially opened for overnight stays following a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018. The cabin is available for use by injured and ill veterans and their families on East Beach at Lake Tholocco, Fort Rucker, Alabama.

The Wiregrass Wounded Veterans Committee (WWVC) could use your help to continue to maintain this for present and future generations of heroes to enjoy the great outdoor living.

Thank you for your generous support!

You can also donate to the maintenance of this cabin at GoFundMe

MEMBERSHIP IN THE WORLDS LARGEST AND MOST ACTIVE SERVICE CLUB ORGANIZATION IS A PRIVILEGE.

THE ENTERPRISE LIONS CLUB IS A GROUP OF PEOPLE BONDED TOGETHER TO DO THINGS THAT YOU AND I CANNOT DO AS INDIVIDUALS.   IN FACT THE MOTTO OF LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL AND OF THIS CLUB IS, WE SERVE AS YOU PROGRESS IN LIONISM, YOU WILL GET THAT GREAT SATISFACTION THAT COMES FROM HELPING OTHERS IN THIS COMMUNITY, AND HAVING FUN WHILE DOING IT.  YOU WILL SEE HOW LIONS HELP THEIR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS WHO ARE BLIND, SICK, STRICKEN, AND HANDICAPPED.   THIS KIND OF HUMANITARIAN WORK WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE UNLESS INDIVIDUALS WERE WILLING TO GIVE OF THEIR TIME AND ENERGY IN SERVICE TO OTHERS.

THE REWARDS OF MEMBERSHIP ARE GREAT. YOU WILL BE WARMED BY THE THANKS OF THE PEOPLE YOU HELP AND BY THE COMMUNITY IN WHICH YOU SERVE. ABOVE ALL, YOU WILL FIND IN YOUR LIONS CLUB THE MEDIUM THROUGH WHICH YOU CAN EXPRESS THE GOODWILL THAT IS IN YOUR HEART.

THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUBS WAS CONCEIVED AT A MEETING HELD ON JUNE 7, 1917 IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF ITS FOUNDER, MELVIN JONES.

THE FIRST ANNUAL CONVENTION WAS HELD ON OCTOBER 8 THRU 10, 1917 IN DALLAS, TEXAS WITH 23 CLUBS PARTICIPATING. IT IS NOW A FELLOWSHIP OF OVER 1.5 MILLION SERVICE MINDED MEN AND WOMEN IN OVER 43,000 CLUBS IN 185 COUNTRIES.  NOW OUR PAST IS HISTORY. TODAY WE ASK YOU TO TAKE UP THE TORCH OF LIONISM,
